Selepas lama isu ni berlalu teringat nak jenguk website Ballantyne.

Tengok sendiri attachement kat bawah tu.

Salam, hi... I looked up their website toooooooooooo!!! I agree with u completely! The issue of halal and haram is troubling in Malaysia.. Is it influenced by some dispute or is it a business political movement to raise the sales of local products? Were never sure. These halal non- halal issue gives a large impact in long term basis to us and the company.. And whats more, they even mentioned that the butter is specifically made for kek lapis Sarawak, which in a way is true but idk y, i feel soooooo offended... People could have used it for anything else!! That butter issue raised some conflicts for us during the raya it was declared haram because we stock our butters early, nak2 raya jugak dia haram? What the hell went wrong because we have been using that butter in generations, my moyang uses it too back then. What do they want the kek lapis shops do? Throw away their kek lapis that they made in stock? Some shops had to samak everything and made a public statement to gain back their customers' trust. My dad had to find a shop that is willing to buy it back! Rugi ktorg because that thing is expensive we had to sell back cheap and we had to try and error on other butter brands, which in some, didn't turned out as how we wanted.. And we had no choice because we fear ppl was2 nak mkn... It was a confusing moment for us Sarawakians on that raya :'( Then not long after that it is halal again??!! But yah! Like u said.. Kenapa x wajibkan bg semua penjual sijil? Regardless of kecik or besar

Referring to the link above, actually i was simply looking up for sushi king but found this too... This would probably be an unpopular opinion but, to me, it doesn't raise my trust to the logo one bit because now i doubt its credibility... Referring to the cadbury issue.. Why is it so easy to declare something halal in one minute and haram in another. Why cant they just say the halal of the product had been doubted and is currently under investigation, they would advice ppl to stop taking it until they made certain, instead of they found pig DNA traces in everything... And then declare it halal again later. And the products, they're actually some very old products that have been in Malaysia for some time, now every time cadbury made an ad on tv or radio, they had to spare 3 seconds to say to people it is halal. Halal and haram was never quite an issue in Brunei as it is in Malaysia, they import more goods than us, yet the line is clear cut with less doubts.. I once bought chocolates from Brunei and all my friend could think of is, whether it is halal or not and ended up giving it to someone else. It is good to be careful, but more of these uncertainty creates a paranoid society. I think i wrote too long, so sorry. Didn't expect it to be too long. But thank you for your post, that i recently found tho it is not exactly new. Keep em opinions coming! Have a nice day! :)
